A CLASSIC!

Here's a photo of my son, Elijah, with his friends, David, Rachel, and Ale (pronounced "aalae").

We were at a  picnic in Santa Cruz, Bolivia when this photo was taken several years ago.

Elijah was barely 5 years  old when this photo was taken. He is now 22. David, Ale and Rachel are studying in the US and Elijah in Singapore.

Will they ever get back together for a reunion?

ELIJAH MY SON

Here's a photo of Elijah in his army greens. He was drafted into the Singapore army two weeks ago to begin a 2 year national service stint. Elijah has put on weight and looks tanned and tough. Michelle and I can hardly recognize our son!

He says the food is great. He's made lots of friends in his platoon. Many are Singaporeans like him who've studied overseas. Some of are christians; one of them is planning to take them all to his youth service this Saturday.

Elijah faces the full brunt of a highly regimented spartan lifestyle in national service. We are possibly the only country in the world where young men are asked to do a 2 year army stint.

Continue to pray for Elijah's well being: discipline of his daily devotions, fellowship with committed christian friends, alertness, strength and a positive atitude.

ELIJAH GRADUATES2

Elijah's graduation was a once in a life time experience for us; he's our only son.

The first item on the programme resembled a wedding service: parents walking down the aisle with their graduating son or daughter.

Michelle accompanied Elijah {the girls were accompanied by their dads and the boys were with their mums}. Words of encouragement, prepared by the parents were read out as the graduating students entered the auditorium with their parents.

Elijah recieved his diplomas from one of the directors of the school board.

The prinicpal's message, songs, prayers made it an unforgettable night. A reception with light snacks for family
and friends was held after the ceremony.

ELIJAH GRADUATES!

Elijah And His Parents!

Elijah graduated with American and Bolivian diplomas; he looked dashing in his robes and mortar; dad's tie was a winner and so was mum's bolivian handcrafted necklace.

Mum is thrilled; dad looks kinda serious; Elijah has great teeth
